      • Conservative
        • The primary treatment is conservative

        • Lifestyle changes
        • NSAIDs
        • Physiotherapy
      • Surgical
        • Injection of local anaesthetics and steroids
          • Less and less used because of local steroid side effects (like skin atrophy)
        • Surgery
          • Detachment of muscles and excision of periosteum
          • Only in recurring cases
