From greek.doctor

Organ: Abnormal placenta?

We see a mass of cystically dilated chorionic villi. These dilated villi appear as grapelike structures. There are pieces of solid tissue as well, which may be normal chorionic villi and may indicate that this is a partial mole and not a complete one.

Diagnosis: Hydatidiform mole

Risk factors:

  • More frequent in early teenage or perimenopausal women
  • Higher in Asian countries

Theory:

A hydatidiform mole is a benign type of gestational trophoblastic disease.
