Three hepatitis viruses, torque teno virus (TTV), SEN virus (named after the initials of patient zero), and hepatitis G virus (HGV, also called GB virus type C), can not cause hepatitis by themselves but they can (probably) cause co-infection with hepatitis A – E. These were discovered relatively recently and their significance is not well known yet.
