Organ: Ovary

Description:

A large, whitish-greyish tumor of the ovary is visible. The tumor forms lobules. The cut surface is homogenous.

On the back of the preparation a part of the fallopian tube is visible.

Diagnosis: Dysgerminoma

Risk factors:

  • Nothing special

Theory:

Remember that dysgerminoma is the female equivalent of seminoma.

It’s not really easy (or even possible) to see that this used to be an ovary.
