  • Congenital coxa vara is a rare congenital condition where the collodiaphyseal angle of the femur gradually decreases due to malfunction of the ossification of the femoral neck
  • The condition is present at birth but usually isn’t discovered until 3 – 4 years
  • Diagnosis: x-ray
  • Clinical features
    • 1/3 are bilateral
    • Coxa vara
    • Fold asymmetry
    • Abduction contracture
    • Limping
  • Treatment: Valgus osteotomy
