43. Recurrent dislocation of the patella

  • Recurrent patellar dislocation, also called patellar instability, refers to the recurrent lateral dislocation or subluxation of the patella. It occurs due to loosening of the joint capsule due to previous trauma. Specific movements usually trigger the dislocation.
