On the inner surface of the skull is there a well-demarcated, rounded, firm, solitary mass that is attached to the dura.

Risk factors:
- Old age
Theory:
In most cases, meningiomas are benign and don’t infiltrate other tissues, causing problems because of compression of the brain. High-grade forms of meningioma (anaplastic meningioma) are very rare.
